College of Physicians & Surgeons
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai is referred to as CPS. In order to address India’s shortage of skilled medical professionals, this Mumbai-based registered medical organisation encourages postgraduate specialised medical training. The establishment of the organisation dates back to 1913. This college was established as an equivalent organisation to the “Royal College of Surgeons in London,” and it was authorised in line with the Royal College of England.
The primary objective of the institution is to facilitate postgraduate medical education, research, and advancements in the medical field through CPS admissions.
The CPS programme leads to a diploma.
For two years, CPS offers diplomas.
- 10% of it is theoretical and 90% is practical.

| The DCH curriculum and topic aim to integrate foundation and applied sciences so that professionals can offer children sound health advice from population-based, behavioural, and biological perspectives. Among the positions held by DCH are Associate Professor, Nutritionist, and Child Nutrition Specialist. |

| The clinical activities in both courses include handling emergency cases, surgical exposure, clinical case discussions, case exposure, availability of equipment and diagnostic tools, patient load to be managed, duty hours, night duty, leave entitlement, including maternity leave, and other facilities. |
| DGO(Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics) |
| The two-year undergraduate Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics programme focuses on women's healthcare and diagnosis. Obstetrics and gynaecology also handle maternity care, which includes labour and delivery as well as any postpartum complications. |

CPS Eligibility Criteria
The College of Physicians and Surgeons has straightforward admission requirements. Candidates must possess an MBBS or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Medical Council of India in order to pursue diploma, fellowship, or certificate programmes at this institution.
Candidates must pass an MCI-recognized MBBS test in order to be admitted to any medical college or institution in India that is affiliated with CPS. All applicants must register with the State Medical Council or the Maharashtra Medical Council and present a Certificate of Eligibility prior to being admitted.
